Hello friends! I will be reading poems as part of Things As They Are: A Reading Series of Immediate Poetry, a series that features poets “with distinct voices whose writing is firmly rooted in the now.” Things As They Are was the title of one of Gertrude Stein’s earliest collection of prose, an affirmation of a demonstrative individuality in a constant struggle against convention.

When: August 31 at 8pm
Where: Omar’s La Ranita in NYC

This event is free but RSVP is required: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/poetry-night-things-as-they-are-tickets-37147666671
password: parlorevents

I’ll be reading with some pretty awesome writers: Camilo Roldán, Madeleine Mermall, Tatiana Eva-Marie, and JC Hopkins.

I’ve never had to say this before, but: Parlor & Omar’s are private members clubs and all members and guests will be required to wear either formal attire, or upscale / business casual attire. Guests seeking entrance who are underdressed may be denied access.

So get fancy. I am so excited about this and hope to see you there. ♡
